Key accomplishments include:
- Lead produced The Color Purple along with Oprah Winfrey, Quincy Jones, Harvey Weinstein and others, which turned a profit within twelve months and launched a second company for a multi-year national tour.
- Orchestrated the turnaround of Radio City Musical Hall from a financially troubled theater in 1979 to the most successful, vibrant and innovative venue in America.
- Produced both the touring and Broadway production of Elaine Stritch: At Liberty, which won the 2002 Tony Award, and the HBO special of the same name, which garnered two Emmy Awards, including one for Sanders for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special.
- Collaborated with Queen Latifah in a groundbreaking music partnership to record and produce her first vocal album, The Dana Owens Album, which is approaching platinum sales status and received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
- Developed and produced the popular WB TV series “Young Americans,” written and created by Steve Antin, which discovered and launched the careers of Kate Bosworth, Ian Somerhalder, Katherine Moenning and Michelle Monaghan.
- Nurtured the original ABC-TV show “Cupid,” written and created by Rob Thomas and starring Jeremy Piven, from its infancy to its production. The show proved to be ahead of its time, exemplified by the re-commitment this year of ABC to re-launch the series.
- Brought the first winner of American Idol to Broadway and announced it to 32 million people on national television.
